Wyeth

Bernard Poussot has been named president, chief operating officer and vice chairman, Wyeth. Mr. Poussot was also elected to the company’s board of directors.

With this promotion, Mr. Poussot continues his current leadership responsibilities for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and Wyeth R&D, as well as the Wyeth Consumer Healthcare and Fort Dodge Animal Health divisions of the company. He will continue to report to Robert Essner, chairman and chief executive officer.

Mr. Poussot has been with the company for more than 20 years. In 1996, he was appointed president of Wyeth-Ayerst International and was promoted to president of the worldwide pharmaceutical business in 1997. In 2002, he was promoted to executive vice president, assuming responsibility for Wyeth R&D. Most recently, he was promoted to president and vice chairman.
